Anyone running hids in their stock housings or just in projectors?
Just wondering cause I don't want to blind people because of the reflective housing lol

What's the best place to get em from?!

You can run HIDs on stock housings, but you will need to get a scatter shield to focus the beam more like a projector housing. If you plan to get aftermarket projector headlights as part of your upgrade then you don't need the shield. Otherwise your HIDs will not be as bright, as the light is 'scattered'. I have the Oracle 6K, not on my box, but on my other cars and they are outstanding. Highly recommend them.

Hidextra.com is a great place to get them, i have gotten a lot of kits from them in the last month and no problems! There easy to install and will go in anything as long as you get the right bulb type!

I went to ddmtuning. Wasnt the greatest idea i've ever had. I heard good things about there customer service and figured i'd go there cuz they're cheap. 1. Customer service is awful, takes em 20 damn minutes to answer their phone. 2. After you get on the phone they are not very helpful whatsoever.

All of my hid kits in all of my whips heads and fogs ate from ddm tuning and I swear bye them. I never did try to contact them honestly sorry to hear bad experience. Product rocks though two thumbs up :)

I would steer clear from DDM Tuning HID kits. Especially now since they will no longer be selling HID products.

That's where I got mine, and at least 5-6 fellow Scikotics here in Cincy got theirs from.

If you want to get fancy, you can do a retrofit, it takes time and know-how. But it will give you the best look, aesthetically. Its gonna cost more than just throwing a kit into stock or projector housing, but probably will last longer as all components are OEM.

Or you could get the sonar type dual halo projector and run rebased(to 9006) D2S bulbs. The cutoff on them is amazing, and better than my 350Z retrofit in the stock housing. it may cost just as much as a full housing because you'll have to buy all the same components except for projectors, but the only place I've seen the bulbs are $150 for the set.
