I've been looking into getting a stealth box due to traveling a lot and needing trunk space. The only two i can find are JL and E.Designs....
Anyone have either, or heard either one to give and idea which one sounds better? I'm not worried about rattling the roof off, just want it to sound good and blend with everything(stereo wise) thanks for any info

E.Designs allows you to keep your spare. Not sure the JL does.
In either case, you have to take something out of your car.

true, i've already taken the stirage out of the right side for my amp. the jl box raises the floor 2 inches, but i'm wondering if i can cut the foam they send and stack the factory foam/storage on top of it. I don't know of anyone who has the jl box though

Plenty off trunk space left :)

Go with the Elemental Designs box. They have contributed a lot to the Scion community and make a great product. Very clean install and is actually smaller but louder than the JL when it is pushing the same power.

Those are some nice setups guys, however, remember the original post:

A big box like that would be nice, but there is no way I could run one and still fit my hockey gear in there for my games twice a week. I am guessing the original poster needs his hatch free too.

I called JL, crutchfield, and a local dealer........jl box raises the floor 3"s with or without the spare.....i'm pretty good with fiberglass, might make my own.....i had flush mounted stuff in my old tc that i made, so can't be to hard....

Same here; I'm working on designing and fabricating my own flush floor enclosure for the rear of my 05 xb. I had a normal box for 2 - 12" subs previously, but I miss my cargo room. I didn't even know there are companies out there that make the "stealth", flush-floor boxes. Are there currently any for the xb, rather than just the tC?

Yep, my box was the first fiberglass project I ever did.
