So ok sciko's finally have just about enough money saved up to get either boost or the bc stroker kit....

So which would be best to get first cause im gonna have both of em eventually...

I kno the stoker kit id have to have some shop do it for me...but hell a can install a turbo kit...just when it comes to tunnin id have to take it somewhere...

So if you have the money for either which would u jump on first?

I think a better title would have been "Whats your preference: Blowed or Stroked?"

BUT I'd probably go get blowed before I got stroked (on a motor).

Boost. Then build.

Build the bottom end then run a bigger turbo:mrg:

would make more sense to build first. if u boost first , its boost, tune, stroke then retune. why tune twice. just my 2cents

n y exactly would u figure this way to be a "FAIL" because its wat i was originally intending to do anyway...

If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing either. Not trying to be an ass, but it's true.

hes gonna gave to re-tune occasionaly anyway. The tune will vary on weather and such. And besides.... boosting & tuning now= good times!
big deal if he has to retune later on... it'll be quick and easy since he'll have a good map to alter.

BOOST THAT BEOTCH!!!!

If you already know your answer, then why ask?

Yep, you're going to have to tune it after its stroked or boosted either way. The only way to not have to tune as much would be to do both, then tune it. Become friends with the guys at your local tuning shop! Haha!

If you build the motor for boost but run it NA until you can afford to boost it you're going to hate how slow your car is. Biggest issue I see is compression. Boost likes low ratios and NA likes high ratios.

Don't stroke it. It's such a waste if you're going to boost. All it effectively does is shorten the RPM span. This motor already has a short redline. Just boost it!

A stroker kit does not necessarily lower your rpm range; I would be more worried about spinning bearings. Besides, having a stroked motor will help spool your turbo quicker, translating to more usable hp and torque under the curve. A broad torque and hp curve is much better than having peak power at a higher rpm range. Stroked motor plus Precision billet turbo plus SP quick spool valve = badass powerband.

Fact of the matter is, is that he wants to lower his compression and run that setup for a while prior to boosting. Let him live and learn. This thread is now = :deadhorse:

This motor has a poor rod to stroke ratio as it is, which is why the engine does not rev past 6250 as it is. Adding even more stroke to this high stroke engine will undoubtedly lower the redline even further. Please don't take this as a pissing match. I am a professional and do this all day everyday for a living.

Paul is correct. If anything build a solid bottom end and boost. If you have a good bottom end you can turn up more boost and make more power any ways.

If your gonna boost stroke is a waste and impractical.

BOOST then build, enjoy the boost while saving money to build the motor then boom you got it, the stock motor can handle a decent amount of power anyway as long as you take care of it and watch your numbers, But either way with weather changes you gotta get it re tuned i do mine almost every three months over kill? maybe but my shiz still runs PS i may havea dezod s1 kit for sale shortly lol so if your interested let me know
