Welcome, Christine! I'm the HMFIC for the New Jersey Chapter. Please take the time and add yourself to the NJ Roll Call thread: http://www.scikotics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6834
We usually have at least 1 meet per month, and there are plenty of shows coming up, since the show season's starting up again!
I'm in TR every once in a while - I have a friend that lives there. If you have any questions about modding your tC, or need help with it, feel free to let us know. I'm a tC owner myself and I've done a lot of modding!
Again - Welcome!

Hey - you know how to put on a sticker too, Gley :D
After the car show the first S on scikotics felt down :mro:. Next time I'm putting the sticker my own way, and I'm not going to lisen to others.:icon_yes:.
Christine, thats good that at least you know were to start with your car. I started mine with performance, I'm not fully done but i'm going for looks now :D. I have learned a lot too from my x b/f who has a TC too, plus he did my led swap and installed my pioneer d3 :D. thats the least a b/f can do for its girl :icon_yes:
Christine
04-02-2008, 09:48 AM
lol yup i agree. i really wanted to start with performance too but unfortunately im way in over my head money wise right now :( wat kinda mods did u start out with?
tCMetaLFReaK
04-02-2008, 09:56 AM
She started with a replacement tC
Krdshrk
04-02-2008, 10:06 AM
LOL... Yeah...
Sport pedals.. the Scion accessory ones just slip right over the stock pedals.... and the door sills (non lighted) just stick right on.... the lighted ones are probably tougher to do but shouldn't be that bad.
Aftermarket pedals are a little harder but still easy - mine are bolted around the existing pedals.
Christine
04-02-2008, 10:13 AM
sounds easy enough :) wat you guys think about the trd exhaust scion sells? i dont know much about exhausts in general but i heard these are street legal so the bored TR cops wont give me trouble lol
Krdshrk
04-02-2008, 10:17 AM
Yes - the TRD Exhaust is a dealership option so that's fine, but then again it's just an Axelback exhaust.. which means that it won't give you much in terms of power.
I have it on my car
Christine
04-02-2008, 10:21 AM
thats ok tho i can always add more performance parts for power in the future....hows the sound?
Krdshrk
04-02-2008, 10:23 AM
Personally I think it's the best sounding exhaust for the tC, unless you have headers... then it gets really raspy. Since I'm turboed, it sounds even better though.
Christine
04-02-2008, 10:26 AM
nice. sounds good. ill add trd to my ever growing list. thanks so much

04-02-2008, 12:16 PM
I just recieved right now my carbon fiber dash applique. I'm going to install it myself lol:D.
I bought my car with almost everything trd in it. It has 4 now the lowering springs, shocks, strut bar, sway bar, intake, and exhaust, the pioneer d3, razo shift knob, led swap, pedestal spoiler, and now the carbon fiber dash applique:D. I love the trd exhaust, because it makes noise but its not an annoying one. I love it, but i'm you and i'll put the lowering springs first, it makes a different not seeing the car so high. :icon_yes: Funny thing I spend 8 months with a 07 TC and had almost nothing compare to this one in 1 month.:mro:
Christine
04-02-2008, 12:21 PM
haha that all sounds so awesome! you gotta put up pics wen ur done. i wanna see it all. and im so glad to hear about the exhaust. i wanted to avoid that annoying sound so im definitely goin for the trd one
BeBe2630
04-02-2008, 01:03 PM
Yey I'm done and I did it myself:D. I just gotta change shift knob for the rs4 tc shift knob, for it to look nice.:Banane03:

My x did it 4 me. He does Led Swap, and I wanted something different from my old car to this one :mro:. I bought a reverse film for the clock and even though it was his first time putting the film he did a good job. I give him that :icon_yes:
Christine
04-04-2008, 12:27 PM
lol yes he did. i really like the way that looks :)
BeBe2630
