because i want to do led down my vertical grill inserts, and they arnt being sold yet... i just cant wait..
i read up alot on how to wire led and how to make them work and be reliable.
i hacked into my rx7's "flash to pass" lenses since i had extras. and this is what i came up with

not what i want on my rx7. but practice is practice. i am going to see how water proof they are and how long, if any restriction, there is to running them. i used a 620 ohm resistor recomended by the shop i bought these from.
wired in parallel

pretty easy!!!!!
total caust for 10 led and 10 resistor from local computer suply store:
$9.20
10 super bright white led
10 resistor

great mines think alike, rx7 and scion ownd by the same person. :mro: u want a convertible? i'm selling one haha..
btw. get that bitch rebuilt!!!!! i did mine in 3 days. (i dont recomend a 3day build)

UPDATE:
for those of you who are curious if i can do more of these. i just called scion . the plastic vertical bumper pieces are 42$ each then tax. so about 100$ for a pair. plus labor and parts for LED. LED running any where from 75c to $1.25 for different colorsx24 on each side, and resisotrs being 5c. wire and suply.
it may be practical to list these with and with out core echange, meaning you send your plastic verticals, and then i send you your pre-made lit up ones!!!! the difference would be 100$ with or with out core echange.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i dont mean to steal onzium's "idea" but..... why havent they made it yet?

btw. does any one have an idea of how to get these to hook into the stock harness rather then tap into the amber wire or run a rocker switch

I think the fiance would kill me if I brought home another 7. I am trying to sell my two first gens at the moment anyway. Plus, I am not a big fan of convertables.

I do want to get working on my FC though. Just got the intake manifold last night. I just need to get some time to pull the engine and get it torn apart.
