My mom just bought a silver 2006 xb
and we were driving it the other night and realized that her dash lights dont work.
moving the dimmer switch doesnt help.
The gear lights are working turn arrows work, but no air conditioning or speedo lights work or any other switches in the car
Any ideas please?

blown fuse. I think it is the guages fuse. Just check the fuse box and see if there is a blown fuse and replace it with the same size fuse.

Did you ever find out what was up? I have the same problem ever since i installed the 2nd head unit in mine. It does blow a fuse every time the head unit is plugged in, but it's for the brake lights. I'm at a loss here, every fuse has been checked and i've tried wiring the headunit up a dozen different ways. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have a friend with a boosted tC and his stopped working when they installed the turbo timer... i have already checked all the fuses and none are blown...
could they have cut a wire? needles work, indicators work, but the needles and numbers dont light up...

Pop out the dimmer switch and make sure it is plugged in.

you have to have something wired up incorrectly. Try not connecting the dimmer wire(orange or orange/white normally).

well the turbotimer is likely tied into the dash lights so that it is lit up at night so they probably didn't hook something up right or something is upplugged. Also double check both fuse boxes. Car electronics are generally simple where it is either unplugged or a blown fuse.

yeah, i checked both fused boxes first. all good.
then i checked and the turbo times does light up. so i figured id find the orange wire and see where that was cut at and see if they didnt hook it back up... i couldnt find where it was missing connection at.
guess ill hunt the orange wire again...
