What oil as you running?

I use royal purple 10-30...cuts down about 70% of that engine noise...great stuff i think. I also use RP in my trans.

Yes. Just make sure whatever brand you go with, it's full synthetic.

51k miles just intake, cat-back and poly mounts. i run mobil 1 5w-20 full synthetic. used to rock royal purple till the price went too high.

I'm rocking the Mobil1 Full Synthetic 5W-20 as well. I'm at about 19k miles. I only have an Injen CAI for performance mods.

I'm at 29k and run Mobile 1 5w30 fully synthetic. Just changed my oil a couple days ago. This was the first 5k I've ran with synthetic and I've loved it.

First 7k miles I ran the "stock oem" oil till the seals got seated. Then i switched over to Mobile 5w30 synthetic.....love it.....My last oil change I SPRUNG for the fully synthetic oil from Toyota through the dealership. I have been very happy with it so far...currently my tc has 18k on it (3k with toyota synthetic). I think it was like $65 versus the $50 for the regular stuff.

I ran mobile 5w30 in my 05 tc. Just be carefull if your doing your oil change yourself. I had the oil pump go out on my 05.....ended up loosing the engine (toyota ended up replacing it) but they argued with me on it because I didnt have "FULL DOCUMENTATION" that the oil was changed. SO now I am doing every other oil change through the dealer so its documented FOR SHURE!

mobile 1 full synthetic, 10w-30 I think. I have been using it since my free oil changes ran out at the dealer. I notice a slight chatter in mine but didnt think the oil would cause it. I figure its just getting broke in. I have almost 75k miles on mine.

Just wondering, what's the difference with running 5w-20 vs 10w 30 or even 15w-30?

the difference is 5-30 is thin cold but not 0 thin. allowing turbo cars to start a little easier in cold nvironments. the 20 means its not as thick as a 30 or 40 when fully warmed up good for N/A cars. id run something a little thicker for a hotter engine.

I HIGHLY reccomend MOTUL. i run it in all my cars. i also work at a wholesale distributor making it easy to get my hands on. Motul is hands down better than anything else on the market. the 300v has no competition in quality. its pricey but worth it. 8100 is comparable to redline. better than most. the 6100 is honestly good but not worth it... mobil 1 is comparable to the 6100 line. but the 300v comp oil will keep temps down 20-30 degrees and desnt coke or burn AT ALL. btw all these claims ive witnessed first hand. Use motul 5-30 for N/A cars and 5-40 for turbo apps. the difference will blow ur mind lol

Right now I'm running whatever scion puts in the engine. I only have 3300 miles on the car. Still got about 2K miles before my first free oil change...lol
