HEY ALL, MY GIRL WENT OUT AND BOUGHT ME THIS, AND IT HASNT ARRIVED YET. http://www.drivewire.com/EscRadar/gt1-2.html

I WANNA KNOW IF THIS IS LEGIT, IF IT WORKS, HOW DOES IT KNOW MY QUARTER MILE, AND 0-60 TIME(ACCELEROMETER MEASURES MY G FORCES) BUT HOW DOES IT KNOW DISTANCE VS. SPEED. ETC...

ANY INPUT ON THIS PRODUCT WOULD MUCH BE APPRECIATED:-D

You hook it into your speedo harness and it measures rpms, speed, etc and you have to program in your car type or atleast wheel size and with all that info, it can calculate alot.

how do you hook it up to the speedo harness? is there an output to hook it to or do i have to splice and shit?(cuz i like my warranty and splicing sux).

so you say its a good product?

negative. its the same as the gtech pro or whatever from a couple of years back. it measures g-forces which determines acceleration and speed. its not very accurate. and it just plugs into your cigarette lighter. watch the vid.

"How does it work?"
"iMEMS Dual Axis Accelerometer measures motion forces 200 x per second."

Say thank you to your girlfriend/wife (whoever she is) but dont expect accurate readings. Its just something for fun.

well i guess i wont get accurate times, but i will relatively be able to see changes in the performance of my car whether it be good or bad. so i guess it can be usefull in ways.

it doesn't wire into anything - the accelerometer is pretty advanced - it uses calculations to determine speed and distance and whatnot...the distance might actually be calculated using infrared...

my gtech was unbelievably accurate - it got my 1/4 mile times on my accord within .1 seconds - the only discrepancy was whp calculations - a dyno doesn't deal with wind resistance or the weight of the car, the gtech does, so the whp numbers are significantly lower than they would be on a dyno.

:D, if your right, you just made my day. it has a cool blue screen that has realtime g force readings etc.., and your saying its accurate too!!!!! supa dupa poopa scoopa, you da man. anything else i should know?:Banane03:

not bad for 80 bucks shipped, only used once, from 180.

Mine was a G-tech which is a little more expensive, but same basic idea. I think you'll be happy with it. I had a blast with mine.
