Thats a great find Josh, I thought the only show site around here was www.oklahomacarshows.com but I keep forgetting to check it. Too bad I will be out of town this weekend, a few of those look like fun.

I was checkin' out that site as well for car shows in OK...

Last night I found a text message tat I copied and pasted info for a show this weekend but can't remember where I found it.
I started doing a Google search for that show and this Tulsa Cruise site came up....

That's the one thing about OK that I like, multiple car shows on almost every weekend all summer. :D

Glad it hasn't changed.

Just got back from the Broken Arrow Elks Lodge show...

It was a good show. It was held out in the grass next to their building. If it got too hot (which it did - I was soaked after cleaning up the car) you could just
walk right inside the A/C. They had lots of beer, water, sodas and food. For an outside show it was perfect, it wasn't drawn out all day like some outside
show I've been too on the east coast. Registration was 8am to 12pm with trophies going out at 12:30.

Quite a few cars showed up, lots of hot rods, corvettes, etc... I was the only Scion. However, I did take 1st place for 1979~Present.

Now back to the garage for some more sprucing up for tonight's show in Jenks... :D

Just got back from the show in Jenks...

Man that place was a blast! Riverwalk Crossing was PACKED with people and the bridge was covered with show cars.
All in all it was a nice show. However, the weather was making itself known outin the distance and the organizers drug their raffle
out untilthe lightningwas on top of us. As soon as more people started bitchin' about the weather they stopped the raffles and handed
out trophies. By the announcement of the third class, the rain literally dropped down on us like a galatic size cooler of Gatorade. People
were scrambling for their cars. I didn't place, I was up against a lot of PT Cruisers, so I hightailed it to the car to close her up. The wife had done
it for me.

I was about to jump in the car when I looked over at a 1960s Ford Mustang GT 500 convertible with it's top down... the rain was turning that sucker
into a mobile jacuzzi... I wated to put th top up for the absent owner but I don't know how to mess with those things... felt sorry for him.

It was a good show though. Lot's of people came through the bridge to check out the cars. My xA was a big hit among the little kids.
See, my wife bought me some $5 seat covers from Aut Zone to protect the seats in between shows. They're red and black with a silver stripe goin' down the middle but have this cheesy oriental dragon print. I was about to remove them when kids started coming up and pointing, "cool! look at the dragon!" I was like.... ok... Then some older folks came up and thought it was expensive upholstery work... fuggit, I'm leavin' em on! lol

I turned on the Eclipse unit to brighten up the inside of the car a bit and had it on map display. Little kids, and I mean like 5~8 year olds coming up and saying, "Wow! He has a GPS navigation unit" or "GPS navigational unit display" in those exact words. Funniest shit I've ever heard. Parents were just like, "What's that?" lol

Fun time, I'd go again if I was here at this time next year. Good publicity for the club.

I'm glad you had fun Josh, I wish we had some members around here with xA's. Hell if I had the money I would buy one.

And congrats on the win, I wish I could have gone but we were out of town this weekend.

Wow! Congratulations!

We seriously thought about having Asylum at the Riverwalk -- bet all the cars looked cool out there.

Actually we tried to have it there but we kept getting the runaround....lol.

I bet it was cool though, except for the rain.
