Up until now we've been doin' fine with having our meets/parties at my house.. until this last weekend. I found 3 large gouges in one of my dining room chairs (which were brand new) and cig butts and beer bottles all over my garage. Since i DID pass out around 1am, i DO appreciate the ones that helped clean up at the end of the night.. but it IS a new house and it kinda sucks that people can't just throw stuff away in the right places after they use it. NOW you know i love ya guys, and we always have a blast but it would be great it you would just remember to be a little considerate and we're all adults so you shouldnt need someone to pick up after you. Oh, and i have PLENTY of beer left at my house if someone wants to take it away.. haha.. i dont really drink beer so its just taking up space in the fridge.
I'm glad you all like coming out to my house, especially since it is out in the stix... i like spending time with the whole crew, so i hope you dont all take this the wrong way.. you know i dont like being upset with people.. just remember to be a little more considerate and responsible. I dont think thats too much to ask.. do you??
Thank you!

Added to Jeffs memo was a little clause that Adam couldnt come back because he likes to bleed all over Jeffs house.

I'm with you on that one bro...the last party we threw at my house was pretty much the same. I had even taken empty beer boxes out to the folks sitting around our fire pit and requested them to store their empties in them. I still had to pick up after them, not one bottle made it into the boxes without my guidance! I don't know why it is so f'n hard for people to understand picking up after themselves, especially when someone else is graciously opening up their home. I always give my best effort to throw my trash away and clean up any messes I have made when hanging out at other peoples homes. I noticed when Eden and I were leaving your house that there were bottles and miscellaneous garbage laying everywhere. I am sorry bro, but I did at least clean up the mess I made. One way to try and control the damage is to make sure and tell everyone to clean up after themselves, put extra trash cans out, and just be firm about not wanting your house f'd up when they leave.
Anyhow, from now on I am going to start calling out you $%#%&^$% slobs, and I dont give a %^$%&^$% if you don't like it.
peace.

Dena, I don't really think you or Craig contribute very much to the mess, it's mostly the beer drinkers and smokers. Bottles and cigarette butts all over the damn place!!! i am not saying all of them are guilty of it, but a few are making them all look bad!

Wow sorry that your house got messed up . I dont get why people dont know how to clean up after themselves !! Its really not that hard . I agree with Tim . When you go to someones house respect it and clean up your own mess .

I agree with all of you. People that are sharing their houses for parties/get togethers need to have thier houses respected. I am sorry Jeff that things got messy.
Not to change the subject or anything, but another thing that I get pissy about is people not chipping in money at meetings for food. I paid almost $80 for foor at our last meeting and no one offered to pay me anything. A couple of people asked "how much do I owe ya" and I do appreciate it. But, I can't buy food for 20+ people every freaking weekend. People need to pick it up and start helping out.

Now that you mention it, getting stiffed for food and alcohol is getting old as well. I don't mind chipping in extra from time to time, but I want to do it when I feel like doing it-not because I am forced to!
We may just have to suspend all meetings that involve food and/or alcohol consumption until the cheap bastards in our group start kicking down some cash! And you who we are speaking of know who you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I try to help as much as possible with food and drinks whenever possible.. and i think you all know that. Like the meeting at Tonys when you ordered the mexican food. I didnt have any cash so i didnt eat any of the food that was bought AND i brought all my own alcohol.. haha.. but i know exactly what you mean.

Thanx Timmy.. i know you and eden didnt leave a mess.. and thats why i didnt say any names cuz i dont know exactly who did it.. and to tell you the truth i dont really care who it was.. we are ALL adults so EVERYONE should know how to clean up after themselves. I realize there is always somewhat of a clean up after a party, but im not just some random person, and my house is STILL brand new.. i'd just like to keep it looking that way.. and if i have to STOP having meets and parties there to keep it looking clean, then thats what i'm gonna do. I like hosting the parties, but not at the expense of tearing up my house.. its just not worth it.

Maybe if we take a break, people might get the idea... i hate to say it, but it may just be new people that aren't having the right repspect for things and skippin' on the checks. I know a few of us (no names) put in WAY more than we should've at Bucca, and a few other places, and honestly it makes me not want to go out to places like that, cuz i cant afford to do that all the time.

To those of you who have been buying tons of food for everyone: you should just try to take care of yourself because you can't always depends on others (family or not) to cover you. Potluck style seems to work the best at the meets that are at people's houses, it shoudn't be left up to one person to feed everyone else around. If you have 20 people over and half of them spend 5-10 bucks on a pizza, and the other half on various other food/drink, then everyone can usually eat, and no one ends up with empty pockets.
As for furniture and stuff being messed up, I think that's just ridiculous, I'm sure it was probably by people who had way too much to drink. Maybe alcohol consumption should be limited and then you can see how well people clean up after themselves if they can actually listen and remember because they're sober.
