How do you reset the Maint Reqd light? The last time it went on, the dealer said I needed an oil change. I got my oil change at the dealer and the lighgt was reset. Well, the light came on about 5K miles later and I had Walmart do my oil change - the light remained on after that. My OBD scanner is not indicating any problems. I tried disonnecting the battery negative for about 3 minutes and reconmnected and the light still remains on. ANy ideas what the problem might be?

It is in your owners manual, page 99 to be exact but heres the process so you don't have to look for it and yes I checked it and it does work.

1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position with the trip meter A reading shown.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset knob.

Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The light goes off and the display shows zero for 1 second and changes to the odometer reading.

Thats straight from the manual...

umm.. you paid for your 10k oil change?
You do know it was free, along with the tire rotation..
And one final piece of advice..
Get your oil changed at the dealership. The oil is whats recommended and the filter that toyota puts on your vehicle is a better quality then fram/penzoil. Also this also helps with warranty tracking.
Also take a few moments to read your manual, you might be very surprised with what you might learn.

Actually the oil used at the dealer (at least the dealer here) is coast oil. Hella cheap and the filter is just another brand relabeled. Toyota makes cars not oil filters. And another note. If you want your car to remind you at say, 3K miles then when the dashes are blinking release the button after 3 of them are gone. Each one =1K miles

I highly suggest you research the oil filters that toyota sells.
