With the turbotoyotas project scrapped, aftermarkert support is going down the drain with the economy. I have cat-back and a cai, but my slammed 08 auto xD is just becoming a little boring. I don't want it to run like a lambo. I don't want to drop 3g's. I just want a little more juice to make up for the extra weight. Are there cams, heads, or anything bolt on to get some horses. Im not opposed to gearing changes, but no tranny shop wants to touch a FWD automatic that was built in 08. I keep hearing, "it's just too new." I mean it's like driving an F'ing Geo. It's really getting to me. If i can't find a solution soon i'm trading. I love Scikotics and I don't want to give up the community, but i need performance.

If anyone want's a nice xD I am willing to trade even for:
Mazdaspeed 3 or 6
04 and up Subaru STI
Audi S4, S6, Or high end turbo A6
or any fast late model sedan with under 100,xxx miles for that matter
would perfer stock exaust

If you were looking for a performance car you should have never purchased an xD. Then you make it worse by getting an automatic...

Going to be hard making yourself happy without dropping major coin. Simply I/H/E will not do much for most of the Scion lineup. Really need some form of FI to notice a major difference.

Yeah, best bet is an engine swap and a 5 speed swap, or trade it in for something else. Or fab up your own turbo kit, and have a performance build done on the transmission (good luck).

If you can afford to keep the xD and buy a seperate project car, then I vote for this option, since you live in the DFW area where an automatic and daily driver is an absolute necessity. If you can't afford to have both, then I vote that you sell the xD and find yourself a better platform to start with. I definately would not waste my money on doing an engine and trans swap as the cost will not be worth the results.
