I have a 2009 xB, with a/b 30k miles on it, my problem is when I'm reversing (turning the wheel clockwise only, it seems) from a parking space after the car has been sitting for hours, I hear a clunk noise as I turn the wheel. At first I thought it was from when I was breaking, but now since it's getting louder, I can tell it's as I turn the wheel...I'm not sure if this is a problem, or just me being paranoid from having bad luck w/ cars for so many years! Any suggestions on what it could be? I have to bring in for an oil change in a/b 1000 miles, figured I'd let em know what's up. Thanks!

I just took mine in for the same thing. They had the car all day and told me that they did not hear anything that is not normal. I hope you have better luck then me.

Does the sound seem to come from the front or rear of the vehicle?
Only thing I have noticed with my B after I've been parked for awhile is that the e-brake sticks a bit, especially if it's been raining or after washing the car. It'll make a bit of a clunking sound for the first few feet of driving.
If it's coming from the front could possibly be a cv joint. That would be my first guess. ;)

i had a cv joint go out on another car, and it could possible be that, but i did find this, though i received nothing a/b it, so i may have to call the dealership to find out why

Well that's interesting. You'd almost think that would be a safety recall but I guess there hasn't been any reports of then causing a control issue, just a nuisance.
