Ahh, Our First Real Topic.

I bought some :D

I'm going with a green theme on the interior to complement the blue on the exterior. Blue and blue would be too much blue. Blue and red would be...ick. and Blue and Amber would be hahahhahahaha like I'd ever do amber interior lighting on purpose.

So I picked up the following:

1x Flowlighting Inferno (yay)
2x 12" green Cold Cathode tubes for under the front dash
30x green power top LEDs for gauges and center console
1x kit from this guy on Scionlife that allows the green LEDs on the center console to get the required power
4 LEDs for front 3 map lights rear dome light

Anyway, I don't know a damned thing about electrical wiring. Anyone in the area that does that would be so kind to assist me in the installing of any of it? I already did the map/dome lights and they turned out perty slick :p I'm pretty sure I could handle the gauge and console LEDs, although I've havent soldered anything since I was in grade school.

The underbody stuff seems pretty self explanatory and doesn't look too terribly complicated, but it would be very comforting to have someone that's done it before to make sure I don't end up destroying $200 worth of hardware.

If anyone has or knows someone that did it (i dont mind paying for time or getting the alcohol) preeeze lemme know ^_^

It's real easy, just cut some wires and solder your shit in. Oh yeah, make sure you have some switches in there somewhere.

I had a hard time trying to figgure out compimenting colors for my fucking red.. so just used red. i got the vision x underbody led kit w/ the terrorist remote! and randode Cold cathodes under front dash and seats.

Any chance you could post some pics of your wiring for the cold cathodes? ^_^

red ext red int is pretty much the only combo choice you had for the CC / guage clusters unless you wanted to go with white. But that's just no fun :p

yeah i was gunna go with white for my underbody kit, but thought that yeah, thats boreing. I'll try to get some pics tonight for ya. is there something specific you wanted to look at? the randode kit pretty much is plug and play.

So is the oznium kit, so to speak. I have 2 cathode tubes per side with 1 transformer per set. Everything seems fairly simple except when I figure out where the hell they need to get their power from.

The tubes plug into the transformer no problem, but i have no idea how to wire the transformer to power/ground and add the rocker switch to them, or how to splice the rocker switch so it works with both transformers.

If that diagram helps, I have no idea. Basically I want to be able to flip the switch and have power to both transformers.

If you still need help and are not to far from Bothell. I would be more than willing to give a hand.
You know? Another good spot to light up are the center vents with LEDs.
I've just got done with most of the lighting mods, so it is still fresh in my mind, not that I'd forget.
Do you have the dash switchs? fuses? zip tie mounts? [I have pleanty of black zip tie mounts self stick mounts, but you'll need to provide the zip ties.]
Lowes has a switch that is qualty and fits the OEM hole. It's only $5.00.
I'll bet that you didn't know, but you have four switch mounts, and not three to choose from. OK One is hidden and needs to be cut out from the center console, it is a marked spot and a OEM space, the marking is underneath.
So far I have done the center vents "LED", under dash "cold cathode", cupholders "LED", under the hood "cold cathode", and non OEM driving lights. I also have installed a engine grounding kit.
So far nothing has blown up, and or fried.
I still need to put in the under seat cathods, I am not ready to do the contorting needed of the body as of yet. I think taking the seats out would be the easiest. The bolts are not a problem to get to.
