Hey all. whats going on I got a 09 xb and during the last storm we had here on the nc coast I got some water in the back of my car. I have been trying to get all the water out but not working well. Does anyone have any ideas. I have towel upon towel soaking up the water but still got the smell. I was wondering how difficult it is to pull the carpet out and clean it or replace it. Looking for any helpful ideas or hints. I have so far been told to use rice and cat litter.

New carpet is gonna cost about $200 for the whole car, but its the best solution to the problem. There are some other solutions but where exactly is the water damage? Pics would help

shamwow will get the job done!!!! haha, idk man, haven't had it happen yet, (knock on wood)
I would use a dehumidifer to get the moisture out...then take seats out and shampoo and clean the carpet....could call a local carpet cleaner and ask them what they use...might be useful...

cool. I think that I am going to try to get the carpet out. I got the shamis in there right now. been ringing them out for the past week. thanks for all the suggestions. maybe I will just take it out and put in rhyno liner. then all i got to do is spray it out right.....
