I have intake and exhaust, but kind of wish I had done suspension first (isn't that a rule anyways?) With about 54k miles though, I'm probably just going to wait until my stock struts blow, and then install TRD struts & springs at the same time. I need either a TRD sway or a set of Hotchkis sways too!

True, but seeing as how I'm going to need to buy my wife a new car soon, there is an enforced lack of rush on my part
...that, and there is a lot of stuff I want to do to the tC...a little at a time.

I was going to do the drop first too, but for the money I had to start with I did the intake and yes it sounds really good.
If you want to do the drop right vs CAI you are looking at:
$285.00 for the intake.
$200.00 S tek springs.
$40.00 front camber kit.
$220.00 rear camber kit.
So I was looking at $285.00 vs $460.00
But its really what you can do.
I decided to wait till I got enough to do the springs right and get some slotted rotors on at the same time.

Drop it! Springs were my first mod. And quite a few mods later, it and my HIDs and Exhaust are my absolute favorite. You will get the most noticeable bang for your buck with one of those. and on top of it, springs are one of the cheapest.
S-techs All the way!!! but don't settle til you can get them for around $150 shipped. And it's easy, just search around a little. Plus you oughta have someone in your chapter who can install springs. If not, don't pay more than $200 for the install. Granted, get a good job done too!!
But the price difference really depends on the install. If you can get someone to do the springs for little to nothing then springs are definitely cheeper and more worth while. But you shouldn't have to pay someone else to do a CAI install. So that might be cheeper in the long run.

Lower it. I lowered mine then put the intake on. But remember if you get a CAI then it is not CARB legal. To some it's not a big deal but remember that if you get pulled over for anything and they ask you to pop your hood you may find your car on a tow truck.

when you guys are talking about lowering that shyt I'd be worried about scraping everything underneath my car rippin off bumpers taking the exaust off. How low are you lowering and aren't you worried about breaking stuff?

do corvette owners worry about ripping stuff off their car? since they are even lower than lowered tc's.? probably(if their younger than 70), and take their clearance into account when driving over or up dips and road debris, its up to the driver, not the car, how to negotiate proper safety when driving a relatively low vehicle, so all in all, if your not prepared to open your eyes when you drive, dont lower your vehicle.
but i will tell you the only time i get worried about my ride, is when i have to pull off a major road onto a steep incline and the driver behind me is haulin ass and i have to take a lil more time turning, i sweat a bit, hoping he doesnt plow me.

And ya dude I live in a semi-rural part of Arkansas with lots of gravel/bumpy/uneven/sh*t roads and I don't have any problems with being lowered. And I'm on S-techs!! I think they are the lowest without being on coil-overs too!
As long as you are cautious you won't have any problems. And you're not as low as you think.
