well i need to vent...or rant so here goes.

theirs no parts for the xd.......its ridiculous even basic stuff is hard to find.

but i was thinking the new corrolla matrix has a 5 speed auto option mounted to the engine so i cant see the HOUSING being diff at all. *correct me if im wrong* so you would just need to adapt shifter itself maybe all custom? and maybe new ecu? im not a tranny expert. '

anybody seen this done?

and this might upset a few guys (i don't mean to) but i hate body kits redonkuous wings and non oem lighting of the cheap variety. it just looks icky i haven't done a single non oem mod to my civic except performance parts. no wings no kits nothing useless. maybe im just wierd?

OK one the economy sucks and alot of companies are taking the chance on new cars unless there is a huge following which right now the xD does not have.

Two the 5 speed auto you speak of is available for the 2.4L engine in the Corolla and Matrix and not the 1.8L version (which is what the xD has). So the tranny most likely would not mount up since not an option for the 1.8L in those vehicles.

Body kits... Well depending on kit and how it is done can look good or can look very ugly. All depends on the kit and how well it follows body lines and how well it is installed. 95% of body kits cannot be slapped on and ready to go. Even ones that are specific for a vehicle will probably need some work to fit perfectly. most people don't have time, experience, or money to do this.

Wings... another one if it is done for functionality cool. If not the most not ALL look bad. Front wheel drive cars do not need stupidly huge wings on the rear deck lid... some small cosmetic ones are ok if done correctly.

Lighting... all depends on what style you want.. accent lighting cool. if you are triyng to be able to be located from space for certain show catagories hey your business cool if done right. if just thrown where ever and you can see every tube/led and all wires then big negative..
