View Full Version : For those that need front plates in their state...
Here's something that's called a "show and go plate" It's retractable which allows you to hide your plate underneath your front bumper for shows.

I was actually thinking about making something like this since I got my 4th front plate ticket earlier this week. I can't stand the look of it on my car. I wonder how this would work on our cars. There isn't much room to play under the front bumper without hacking up the splash-guard.
I would love to have something that is under the car, but is motorized to pop up with the flip of a switch. That way, when the officer pulls you over, you can hit the switch. He walks up to the car, tells you that you have no front plate. Give him a puzzled look and say it was on when you left work/home whatever and watch the look on his face when he walks up to the front of the car to check.

2 problems I see... if your lowered you risk the chance of it getting taken off.
Second its plastic.

I'm so glad Kansas doesn't require a front plate. My boyfriend bought me front license plate kit that bolts on the grill pieces. This would be another easy way to take it off or put it on. May sound dumb but I wanna put my personalized plate on the front with a slight tilt to it. :Banane02:

That is kinda pricey for a nifty piece of plastic, but it would probably pay for itself in tickets.
So glad we don't have to have um' here in Arkansas.

Some states have a height law, i know we do in Tennessee (it is 12 inches from the ground), i have gotten a ticket for it in Tennessee, but we only have rear plates, so make sure it is not to low to the ground

that is neat but im pretty sure its autoloc that make a metal one that is motorized and its only 20 or 30 more than that.... i would prolly pay the 20 to 30 more for a metal peice that is way more trick...

The motorized ones are allways listed with the hotrods and custom old car sites. I haven't looked at them lately cause i'm low enough allready and don't need my $70 plate closer to the ground.
