My opinion:
Should be a STOCK option, not an RS. RS's should be more "out there," unusual, and metallics. There oughtta be non-metallic "normal" colors in the standard line and more unusual ones in the specials.
I think Scion often has it backwards.

EXACTLY!
Perfect RS:
Gold
Purple

Between:
Red

Should be stock:
White
Black/charcoal
Silver
Royal-to-dark blue (like Voodoo Blue)
Hunter green
Some sort of red/garnet
Some sort of gray-tone (like Stingray)

Those last five could vary in tone every year or 2, but should be in those ballparks for stock colors (w/ at least ONE brighter colorful hues stock each year) and the more cool, unusual, and bold hues on RS models.

As is, the stock color-range, together, look more like someone would would see on German cars (darks and gray/silver tones) than a "youth-oriented" brand . . .


Either way, I'd LOVE to see Voodoo Blue on a flying pig!

doubt that will ever happen again.. they had, and still have SO many problems with that paint..... when you have to get a panel repainted it NEVER matches....

I just hope to God that they do more with the xB RS8 than they did with the RS3 xD... it only got a custom paint and a mild body kit... RS SHOULD be UNIQUE.... both outside and in..

just got some equipment info. The new xb release will be "sport" themed. Have no idea what they mean by that but it will have a body kit and moonroof as part of the equipment package.

But no brighter blue on the xB2.
They have had:
Nautical blue (very dark navy shade)
Stingray (blue-ish gray)
Hypnotic Teal (grayish blue-green)
"Elusive blue" (I've not seen it yet to figure out what it looks like in person)

I think a bright blue is a good addition (but should be a STOCK option, rather than a special addition)

Red-wise, they've made:
Absolute Red (RS 6)
Blackberry Crush (a burgundy- looks either maroon, purple, or brown depending on the light)
Crimson (a nice garnet shade)

I'd like to see MUCH more green, but like blue too.
The ONLY thing close to green is Hypnotic Teal.

My opinion:
Add a brighter blue and a rich darker green to stock range.
Have a more unusual color to the RS edition.

Wow, that body kit makes the front lower side scoops look so much better than stock. I've always felt the RS5.0 kit made the previous-style scoops look worse but this is a big improvment. It'll be interesting to see a pure side view as I think the new scoops look the worst from that viewpoint.I too wish there were more bright primary colors, and preferably as stock rather than just on the RS models. I bought Super White but if there had been something like the RS red or this blue I'd have strongly considered those.

Lower and some rims and I think it will look even better. I'm not a huge fan of this RS just yet, but I haven't seen one in person... I'm looking forward to that so I can see what the color really looks like. Most of the pics I see make it look more purple than anything. I'm hoping that blue stands out a lot.
