Anyone know if this year came equipped with the keyless entry? A friend just bought one used and he didn't get a remote, Toyota says no.

No they did not come equiped standard with the alarm.
But look to the left of the stearing wheels and that is where the dealership would have placed the sensor

it says 2006 on it, but I am trying to image what would be so drasticly different as to make the alarm not work. Door lock actuators?

i have a 2006 and i didnt have it either, but i bought one and my boyfriend installed it for me.

i got a prestige w/ remote start, 1/2 mile paging, etc. its bad ass

When i got my RS1 i asked for the keyless entry.. is not an alarm, and our vehicles dont have the immobilizer in the key. one thing i know it is really easy to install the factory whatever, is just a plug plug device. but the best this is to get an after market.. Prestige i have also..

I have an 06 and did not get keless entry with it...I just added the Scion Security later and then upgraded to a complete remote start with alarm

So Keith, we were talking at BEP's today and can't figure out why the alarms y'all have wouldn't work in my RS1. The actuators and motors all seem to be the same just without the keyless entry remotes. If I unlock the passenger door all the other doors unlock. Any ideas???

I bought mine in August of 05 and I got the Scion security pkg, yes I have a remote....hummmmm????

Its not standard on any xA or xB. It is part of the scion Security Package.
