Ok, I got this xB I recently picked up with a little over 50,000 miles on it, and I figured it would be a good idea to get it up to date on maintenance, since you can bet the previous owner probably only bothered to change the oil, if that. The only problem is, I can't find any information on how to go about this maintenance! Where is the Haynes manual for this car? Or is there any alternative? It would be nice to know at least basic info like oil capacity, coolant capacity, gear oil type and capacity, spark plug gap, etc., and just general repair stuff and diagrams! Yet I cannot find anything. Even the parts stores don't have this stuff listed. So where do I go for repair manuals, short of paying 100 plus dollars for the factory one? No, I don't have the owner's manual. And, given how much I'm sure it will cost to get a new one from Scion, I'd rather just find something like Haynes. Ideas?

As far as I know, there aren't any Haynes or Chiltons manuals out yet. Only the factory service manual. However, the information is readily available on ScionLife.com if you search for it.

This (http://www.kennykentscion.com/Service-Pricing-2006.aspx) has the listing for what they do at a certain mileage.
Don't know if that will help or not.?
:sorry:

I believe you're referencing this post:

If not, it's still some interesting information. Though I've only looked through the first page of the post.

thanks, fellers. this sure is a pain, but i'm making progress. i got the hookup on an owner's manual today. the cranky old guy at the toyota parts desk handed me a copy of the '04 xB manual (close enough) and i asked him how much and he just said, "shut up and go home." lol, gotta love those old timers.
so i got most of the basic maintenance stuff now, but i still have a funny sound coming from my car. another old timer who's been right before says it's the clutch throwout bearing. anyone know any links for info on changing a clutch? the only clutch job i ever did was on a 1970 VW beetle! lol. i'm gonna start searching.
