So I'm thinking about doing air ride and i don't know much about the system besides certain parts. Lol I've been lookin at the air runner kit since it's a bolt on application but really don't know if it's worth my 3 grand. Any help is appreciated! Also I will be doing the work myself to keep some cost down. Thanks alot guys!

Let me know when you decide to order and I can make sure you get exactly what you need.
But it isn't completely bolt on so to say, but the way I can show you, you don't need major modifications. There is some cutting and shaving needed for bag clearence. but we did ours in a warehouse with hand tools.

IMO if you are not really knowlegable with air ride then just buy a kit.piecing it together always requires alot of know how or else you end up spending even more money than a kit would cost you without realizing it

There are no Bolt on kits for the XD, unless Airrunner made a special strut for the front. I know I have an XD and was the first one daily driven to have it bagged. The kit I posted is the same kit as mine because I worked with Doug at AirRideFittings.com to set the kit up.
But you have to modify the front strut slightly to get the front bags on and the rear is same as first gen xb but there is cutting involved in the rear as well. I used Universal Air Bags front and rear. Basically same kit you would get from Universal Air and installed pretty much same way but my fronts are modified and sit about .5 to 1 lower than the xD they did. So mine actually looks level. My modifications are to make it sit lower, but you still have to modifiy it to even get the strut bag on in the first place even without sitting as low as mine.
No need to piece a kit together when it's been done but unless airrunner has a special front strut then no real bolt on kit out there.
I got over 2 grand in mine but that includes me getting two new struts for front so I could modify them and still drive the car in the interim of about a week and I changed out rear bags since original ones where two big. I went with Universal over the Airlift I had.

How is the ride?

Depends on the air in the bags. at the right psi it rides great. I dont have guages at the moment so it is a guesstimate on if I am at right level. but about to re run all my wiring and hoses to fix my leaks that I have acquiered, so will add guages then.
normally I air it up about two bumps on the switch from full deflation and I am good. if too stiff (normally in back) I will do a quick bump on switch to dump a little air and it is good.

Also, Air ride is one of those you get used to it type rides. I am used to riding daily in my s10 which is dropped 5 in front and 6 in rear with stock shocks on some decently bad roads sometimes. lol and rear ones are old. so the ride of a vehicle doesn't bother me so much.

Ahhh ok.....that makes sense! I think I am going to get some coilovers for my tC. Have any of you guys had any experience with those? I know there are other places I can look but since I already and conversating with you guys I thought I might ask.

Airride is kinda like adjusting the spring rate on the fly. too much air it is like a stiff spring to little and it is like a soft spring.
Adding Airride is more for the fun factor and instant adjustability when adding it to most personal vehicles. unlike on commercial vehicles were is serves a specific purpose or need.
I know many people who have had coilovers they are good and give you the adjustabilty of ride height and ride will be pretty consistant versus air. just cant adjust on the fly or play with the switches. But also dont have the maintenance of air. (not that there is alot with air but more potential for issues than coilovers.
all depends on what you want.

do air. I have air lift companies kit on my car and I love it. You'll get a ton of looks when you pull up somewhere and slam it on the ground. I get asked all the time how I drive it like that lol
