DONT pay the stealership to install the OEM optional rear spoiler...
they wanted $75.00 to install.....
there is NO DRILLING involved in mounting.
it took me 10 minutes...
you need a 10mm socket or 10mm nutdriver, and a small flat screwdriver..
open the hatch... carefully remove the center trim piece, it pops right out...
this will let you see the 2 center bolts.. remove the round black plugs at the ends of the spoiler... this lets you see the outer 2 bolts.
remove the 4 mounting bolts...
shut the hatch about half way... grab the small spoiler....pull it strait up and off the hatch.....
shut the hatch
now wipe clean the mounting surface....
take the new bigger spoiler and line up the mount pins.... push it down into the pin holes... it will kind of snap in place..
open the hatch and reinstall the bolts.... after you have then all installed.. and hand snugged down.... torque to 50 INCH pounds.
now reinstall the interior center trim piece, and the 2 black plugs...
you will notice there are 2 small rubber bumpers on the edge of the spoiler where the spoiler meets the body of the car...
inside the box the new OEM spoiler came in are 2 small clear protective sticker pads to apply to the painted surface of the body so the small rubber bumpers have a place to ride.
line up the rubber bumper and apply the sticker so the rubber bumper hits the sticker, do this on both sides of the spoiler..
pop the top on a New Castle Brown Ale and enjoy looking at how great your new spoiler looks.
