dome light removal

Ok, so I'm trying to replace the dome light in the front, but I can't seem to get the cover off. I see a very small notch opening at the front, but when I went to leverage that off with a small screwdriver, it started to scratch up and deform. Am I missing something? Do you pop the whole unit off?

I was working on this, but I decided to just ask for advice before I forced something irreparably.

That is the way to take it off.
But be careful when i last tryed to take my cover off it broke right where you stick the screwdriver.(that kinda sounds dirty) :md:

had to go at it with a knife. minor scuffage. wish toyota would have engineered that better
