*Exhaust Questions*

Alright... I'm getting all of my mods out of mind and line...

I have a TRD cat-back exhaust. I was thinking about putting some 4-2-1 headers on along with an S pipe to get some more horses.

I just don't want that loud, obnoxious, raspy exhaust sound I've heard from other cars with headers and exhaust.

Can anyone give me some pointers on a good setup to get the power minus the noise?

Also, I'd like to put my heat shield back over the aftermarket headers... Is that possible at all?

The TRD exhaust is an axel-back, not cat-back. So, if you want to do a full header-back exhaust, you're also going to need a mid-pipe. Now, as far as not getting that raspy sound, I've heard of people putting an extra resonator in the piping and they've had good results. If you want the exhaust quieter, you'll have to put a silencer on it. I'm not sure about the heat shield though. Hope this helps.

that or was told some people put a cherry bomb in backwards and it quiets it too.
