Center Arm Rest?

Anyone know if Scion is going to ever come out with this for the xD? I see it on my dealers website pricelist as a FALL 2007 release, but alas, it's not available now is it? :ponder:

i dont think so but i could pull the arm rest off my b and try it on my wife's d. but i dont think it will fit.

I asked the dealer about the arm rest last week and they said it was available. I am definately wanting one. My elbow feels deprived. They only had one brochure that had it in it. All the others said 'coming fall 2007'. The picture I saw has a light gray arm rest. I don't know if it is available in the dark gray or not.

I'm wanting one with some storage in it. Someone was making them and selling them on Ebay. My mom is super handy with a sewing machine so I may see if I can figure something out and have her cover it and so something custom to it. :up:

Limited release supposed to be out by the end of this month/begining of March.

That one does look good and you don't loose use of the cup holder. I'm not sold on the ebay one either. It really sucks that there aren't more accessories available yet for the xD.

LMAO! Me TOO! I'm downsizing from a Honda Odyssey (talk about compartments!) so I immediately was sizing up the stashing ability of the xD as soon as I sat in it! :mro: I had to go with the overhead compartment for that very reason.

I went and ordered the one from Zeta...it became available today. I keep putting my arm into the space that would be an armrest and it just isn't working! LOL

Stephanie pulled the one from her xA out and put it in my car last night... I think if I dremmeled it down, it would fit fine. I think I'll try to make one though, for $120 a pop, not sure I need one THAT bad!

I think Boomerang has one coming out. I spoke to them a few weeks ago and they said within the next 60-90 days. I'm not sure about a pricing on them yet.

Boomerang's armrest is out. I don't remember the pricing, but they should have them at the dealerships now.

I bought one of someone at Asylum & now my arm is not tired anymore! :)

It's way cheaper than the Zeta, but I don't like that this one takes up the back cup holder. Not like I have anyone ride in my backseat anyway, but I like drinks dammit!

I have the one from Zeta products and I realy like it, I actuliy seen the one from the ist in person I couldnt belive how junky it is for being OEM, My only complant about the Zeta one is that I wish it was higher then it is, you kinda have to lean to one side and it does have a hidden compartment in the bottom.

It doesn't look junky at all--not even close. That said, I feel the same way about the Zeta armrest--it doesn't look factory and the color is all kinds of wrong. Plus it is wobbly. No thanks. But to each their own.

Wow am shocked the one I seen was pretty hurting considering it was OEM in Japan, please post some pics, I would like to see if its what I saw?

yup one reason why i was "ok" not excited about my boomerang armrest in the xb, i lost a cup holder. and i too am a big "drink" fan.

Well the xD has one in each door, two in the center console front and one in the dash for the passenger. I think the xd has the cup holders down in just need an armrest.

So how comfortable is the Ist arm rest, without it having any padded top on it? I think that would get a little uncomfortable on a longer trip...

I have the Zeta Armrest, and I like it a lot. Any color difference is not really noticeable at all, actually looks fine in person. it does wobble a little since it doesn't have the big metal bracket that the Ist armrest has, but no big deal though. I too wish the Zeta was about two inches higher, but it looks like all of these arm rests are spec'ed to about the same height...Maybe I'll have to make an extra pad to strap to the top of my arm rest - a thick Gel pad would be pretty sick...
