or not. I went to go to work this morning, pushed the clutch in, turned the key....

and nothing. Radio came on and the dash lights, but there wasn't any clicking or turning over. Figures. But oh wait, I live on a hill!!! I can pop the clutch one might say! Well, that would work, but I left my spot at the top of the hill directly across from my house last night for five mins to do a favor for a friend and when I came back, someone was parked there. So, I had to park at the bottom of the hill. Oh, did I also mention that I have a date tomorrow night? I sure hope the dealer can fix my car tomorrow b/c I rushed out of the house in order to get to work on time and need to try and pop the clutch or tow it after work before my class tonight at 7pm. I'm assuming the starter went bad. I only have 35,199 on the odometer. Anyone else have starter issues?

Sure you didnt leave a light on?

If I left a light on, the battery would've died and I would not have been able to listen to the radio while I was trying to start my car. The radio worked along with the lights on my dash.

the radio and dash lights use very little voltage. the radio will play down to 9 volts. i no i was listening to it while i was working on my hurt warrior after the fatal water ride. its posible the voltage was to low to make your starter click and the radio still works. sounds like a mostly dead battery man. have you changed anything like head or tail lights??

I put new fogs on, but last night I turned all my lights off and made sure they were off as I was walking away from my car. I leave the dome light on the inside of the car to turn on/off with the door open, so that turned off as well.

Its your battery homie -- the stock panasonic is known for doing this

I really hope so. I would rather not take it to the dealer. When I get home I shall test the headlights and/or leave the radio on and see it that kills it or doesn't work.

What do you mean the panasonic is known for doing that? Is it my radio that drained the battery? I'm thinking it is the fog lights. But I have been noticing some weird things with my radio like while driving, the radio station will go up. For example, I will listen to 100.3 and all of a sudden it will switch to 100.5 Also, when listening to cds the display will change from title/track to run time.

I love it when something goes wrong with my car. It gives me a good excuse to upgrade!

Your battery is made by panasonic...Sometimes it will drain if its too cold out...Sometimes for no apparent reason...Get an optima and you shouldnt have this problem!

And that radio station switching problem is common on the tC's -- Mine did it too before I got the D3

Good to hear (as in hopefully I won't need to take it to the stealership). I will address this when I get home and keep you guys updated. Thank you very much!

also did it rain that night you left it??? if you put new fogs on and it rained you could have a small grounding problem if water got in your connections

Well, got a new battery last night after work, had to hook it up in the rain which wasn't fun and everything turned out ok! :thx: everyone esp hawgs74! I ended up getting an interstate battery from my mechanic. I'm just glad I didn't get stiffed by the stealership. They prolly would've pulled some crap by saying since I put the fogs on that's what caused the battery to go bad and end up giving me another crap battery for double the price lol

I'm sure I wired it up correctly. It was cold, but no rain lol I work with a few electrical engineers and we went over the wiring diagrams and directions a couple times.

Dude... This has happened to me 2x already.

It's the batteries themselves. And yes, they're covered by warranty. I've had 2 warranty battery replacements done.

Well, I don't want this happening again, so I paid the $100 for an upgraded battery with moar power!
