View Full Version : got the sleds, now for the tires (gen2 xB)

I just got some leadsleds, I'm going to powdercoat them candy red soon. They're 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears in +35 offset.

I'm aware I'll probably need spacers for the rear, I'm guessing 5mm. I just wondered what you guys thought about for tire size. The suggested tire size for these rims online seems to be:

Front 225/45R17
Rear 255/40R17

Does this seem right? Sounded right to me, but figured I'd ask you guys with experience.

I'm lov'n da rims.

As for your tire size...I really would think about mix'n 40s and 45s...dat center # is your height of your tire...so one will lower that the other.
Now the 225 and 255 is kind of understandable if your look'n to have some phat meats stick'n out back...255s are wide as hell.(look for a v8 buick lucerne you'll see what I mean.) But, if this combo works for you. ROCK'M!!! But, you have to share some pix.

stretch them out........go with some 205's and some 215's

went to NTB they said with regards to 40s&45s; i need the 40s in back & 45s in front cause it makes both tires the same diameter.

My Bad, bro:doh:. I foregot that your rims were off sized from eachother. What they said is correct:icon_yes:, that will work just fine for 17x9 & 17x8s:up:.
Make sure to post-up sum :Inclassable52:, once you got them on.

yeah, i got lucky. got them for 850 shipped. came from CA to OH. they're really nice condition.

I'd say run with some stretch, 205 and 225.

haha yes. i got some continentals for them, theyre almost low profiles. i should just get WW paint.
