Ok, after about 2 - 3 weeks of owning my xB i installed subs in it, me and the guys i had help me have done this many times befor just fine. Well, a little after my VSC , Trac Off, and Mait Req lights came on and when i drive it goes to about 3 grand it just falls on its face (and throws me into the steering wheel!) So, i called the company i bought it from, the came picked it up, trailered it back to their shop (about 2 hours away) and called me the next day telling me its the mass air flow sensor (knew it was something with the intake because i took it to O'Rielies and hooked it up to their computer) So, they charged me 103.00 for part and labor, not to horrible, But tonight (a good month or so later) me and my friend installed strobe lights. And we hear some of our friends driving around (our cruising group) as we are cleaning up so we leave to go meet up and i get up to about 3 grand and it just falls flat, if i rev it it goes to 3 grand and cuts out, im pretty sure its some kind of safety mode, just wondering if its happened to anyone eles, and what might be causing it? Thanks in advance..

Do you have a cold air/short ram intake? I dont think sound system should have anything to do with it unless you did not ground it...

check your fuses... something similar happened to me one time. same situation just installed my subs and my vsc trac and maintenance lights came on and my car would just die. it was some random fuse that blew. i cant remember what fuse it was but i do remember it had nothing to do with anything i was working on. scared the crap out of me i thought i broke my car... and check ALL your fuses in the cab and under the hood.

Cant be a fuse, when they replaced the first one it went until i added these strobes, then i replaced it again today and its fine again. if it was a fuse wouldnt it still be messed up if i replaced the MAS? The strobes and my subs are directly to the battery, my negative terminal has a peice on it where i can add wires, like an amp. Thanks for the help on this guys, its buggin the crap out of me.
