Can someone give me some ideas or tips on what you do or did when you first got your baby home? Settings that should get changed or things I for sure need to get for the car?

If you're goin "show", I'd have to say that Lowering Springs, Wheels, Grille, SYSTEM, tint, maybe a body kit, paint, glow, etc. This is just a small list of things that are good for a show car. You can choose what order depending on prices. depends on what you want man.

Lowering Springs, Tint...for starters. And from there it's what you are trying to accomplish.

if its gonna be a show car i would start by thinking about a color scheme, then id go with glow, rims, tint, system, a good place to start with glow is oznium.com if you wanna drop some cash on it get it wrapped or a custom paint job

Change the stock Wheels and Get a OEM Carbon Fiber Hood and If anyone can get me a good deal on a door dent repair for my Passenger Side Door or if anyone has gotten into a crash and lost their car that has a passenger door for me I will pay the right price this little damage is not all that bad but I got quoted for $800.00 but it looks like it could be a $350 paint job and there is paint chipped off of it too.

Thanx

Lora

If any one Needs Wheels For their Scions and Lives In San Diego Go to Joe's Tires on Market Street. They Have just the Rims for $389.00 For all 4

it is all up to you... i would check your local chapter for the weekly meets/gtg & maybe talk to a few club members that own a tC & see there cars in person ....

the first few mods i did was a AEM cold air intake , tinted all 5 windows , lowered , DC Sport header , killer tC spipe... & i only kept a few of those mods due to the fact my car was super loud thanks to the DC Header & Spipe..

i will list a few websites to help you out also keep us all posted on what your outcome will be & if you need any info or have questions just ask ;)

Small trick that helps - hold the SSP button on your radio and change it to xa - don't know if it works the same on the 08's, but in my 06 AND my 07, it made a world of difference when listening to the radio.

As far as what to do first...tint definitely. It's almost always overlooked as a mod, but man it cleans up the overall look of the car SOOOO much! And it's one of the cheapest - $175-ish.

The first thing I did with mine was the turbo...had the turbo installed and running before my temp tags expired. lol

something easy can be simple de-badging meaning take off the scion logo in the front and maybe the tC sign on the back when you do the front it gives the car a "meaner look" lol well have fun with the car

i drove my car off the lot and got it tinted, from there i took it home and debadged it.

within 500 miles i had, new headlights, new tail lights, fog lights, badgeless front grill, system, led swap, rims, drop, intake, exhaust, neons, strobes, and i think thats it lol.

not all of that is cheap, but not counting the rims or stereo i had less then a grand in all the others and it transformed the look of the car...

On personal experience, if you're gonna drive a car and make it look nice, put an alarm system on it. Mine's still bone stock except for a sound system and in the last 2 weeks alone someone had ripped part of my front bumper, and today someone took a knife to every single piece of glass and most of the weather stripping. Protect your investment, put an alarm on it.

replace your stock dome lights and parking lights with LEDs. its a quick, easy, and inexpensive mod. De-badge is easy to. If you want to spend a lil more, get the windows tinted or exhaust, those will give you a big appearance change and will keep you hooked on modifying your tC.

Can someone give me some ideas or tips on what you do or did when you first got your baby home? Settings that should get changed or things I for sure need to get for the car?

first i put a system in it. nothing big but something that bumps (kicker sub)
then i got a grill insert
then i dropped the tc on hotchkis springs
then tinted the car (limo tint with front windows legal)
then i painted the head unit and ac vents (white)

next mods are headlights (including painting black housing, angel eyes, HIDs)

eventually changing the guage/ac cluster lights and getting new headliner.

First thing I did was....
S2000 Stubby antenna
Changed the low beam bulbs, parking light bulbs.
Mirrored the gauges.(will eventually do the led swap)
A bit after I got tint
Added some foglights
From there I got HID's,DVD player for christmas,
Recently relocated the ballast for the HID's, and bought another pair of fog lights to use.
Then the most recent thing I've done would have to be painting the stock rims, since they were so messed up form curb rash when I spun out in the rain.

Like a lot of people, I did the stereo first, then I put in a creativecompact short throw shifter, then lowered, intake, lighting accents, tint, exhaust, wheels.
