18's

Hello we just bought a silver 08 xD, and we want to put 18's on it..

will they fit ?

what offset would those of you in the know recommend?

we dont plan on lowering the car, because local roads arent the best, but were hoping the 18's will sort of fill the wheelwells without rub

so far the xD has been a great little car, and the Ipod connection kicks ass :mrgreen:

any info would be greatly appriciated..

18's will fit no problem on a non-lowered car...how do I know? I have 18's with 225/40/18 rubber and a 2 1/2" drop and still don't rub. The thing is, they won't fill up your fender well any more or less...you'll have allmost the same overall diameter because of the shorter sidewall. I wouldn't suggest going bigger on the overall diameter to fill your fender gap, it will KILL your performace...the XD doesn't have much to spare. Mag wheels take a little away from the performance allready due to a heavier rotating mass, unless you have the cash for something like Gram Lights or a similar lightweight wheel.
