damn that almost looks photoshopped

you're probably not going to find anything that color at pepboys or autozone...you may want to try an automotive paint store and see they can mix you some high heat paint.good luck

well the color of the interior pieces is actually sprayed yellow greenish then sprayed with fluoresent green, so just a lime green or something not grabber green will work. yeah i guess they do look photoshopped i guess i have a good airbrush artist

Disconnect the battery...

On the steering wheel theres 2 bolts I believe that hold the bag in... one on each side... unscrew those... pull the bag out unplug it... then unscrew teh screws holding the plastic pieces in.

What about the shifter? Do I need to disconnect the battery, then just remove the two screws and that's it? Can I some how put it back together to drive while I'm waiting for the paint to dry?

good luck trying to copy it i have a guy custom airbrush it, its a green to yellow linear fade, he has a lot of time in all my pieces and will be doing my switch plates for all the doors and my engine valve cover. you really have to see them in person to see the color good.oh and the shifter piece, i just used a flat head screw driver and popped it out, i think it has 2 tabs maybe one i dont know it just popped out and popped back in.

Yea, I really like that color. I bought a can of paint but I found something else I think will work really good. Check out this vinyl kit (http://www.rvinyl.com/dashkits/scion/xb_2004.htm)I found for $25...

Not necessary to unplug the bag, just lay a towel on top of the steering column and set the bag on the towel. I hate unplugging anything associated with the airbag so always try to avoid it.

Also, the two bolts that hold the airbag in are torx drive, so get a set of torx screwdrivers or a torx bit set.

the bottom shifter ring is held in by plastic tabs. i would remove the center console to help keep from braking them....the piece for o/d just pops out with a flat head screw driver and some tlc. there will be a zip tie holding a wire that you need cut off then it will come right off.

as far as the high temp paint, just spray or brush on a high temp clear or white paint....then add your green
