The tC emblem is harderto remove since it is recessed from that panel. It would beto take that little strip off and then bondo and repaint. The actual tc should come off pretty easy though. Let me take a look at how it comes off.

i think spyke means the scion emblem is hard to remove. i saw someoen with it off last weekend and it looks like crap. the little tc on the other hand is a piece of cake. there is a how to on SL

The crappiest site on the planet, but here is the link anyway: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20747

An easy way to remove it:

Heat it up with a blow drier a little bit to soften the adhesive, run a piece of Dental Floss/Fishing line behind it to cut through the adhesive, use some adhesive remover to get the rest off. Its pretty easy.

depends on how much cash you have to invest in the project. Mafia Mike and myself sat there and completely re did his interior and all that fun stuff, in 2 days. it would have probably cost a couple grand to do all the stuff we did, but since we did it ourselves it was alot cheaper

Paint the engine cover. Clear the corners. Get the springs. put a spacer on the exhaust. Stuff like that we can discuss more on friday if you want to. That is what I did when I had my tc minus the springs and spacers.

I thought this was kinda funny ... taking the tC off was the last thing before I sent mind into the wall :P and I will likely hav the tC badge off on the new one before I even leave the car lot :lalala:

almost all over

I like the idea of debadging the scion logos themselves ... but only if you fill the recess itself, get a good paint job on it. Just don't do something retarded like throw a Lexus badge in it or some such. ....... on that note ... if thats something you wanna do, make it more of a conversion prcess, tear apart your rear and front ends and fit and fill in ISxxx head/tail lights.

I know it's a very minor detail, but I think it looks better....S2000 antenna, instead of that long funky one...

see i don't like the s2000 antenna. kinda looks like a small penis

Haha, I see what your saying, I still like it though....but is there another one that fits the tC?

lovinmytc
08-02-2006, 11:58 PM
Oh yeah, another quick easy mod...you can smoke the tail lights if you like that look. And as for the vinyls...what color is the car? I would just be afraid of doing it cause doesn't it ruin the paint when they start to peel off in about a year or two?

highoffchlorine
08-03-2006, 12:15 AM
car is nautical blue. i asked bout airbrush in another topic and everyone was hardcore for vinyls. ....?

Nebster
08-03-2006, 12:18 AM
yeah airbrush is permanent. vynls aren't. thats why vynls are so much more desireable. you can change them without having to pay 8k

the element antenna is nice. its all straight and short. IMHO go for that one

The S2000 antenna is a little goofy looking, but it grew on me, look on the back of my car in this pic.

that true?

Nebster

lol iff your vynls start to peel off in a year you are getting the wrong vynls. the one that wheel art does (our main graphics sponsor) they put down a layer of vynl first (rated at 7 years) so its not to screw up your paint. Yes if you get the cheapo vynls from www.cargraphics.com or whatever they're going to screw up your paint but if you get it professionally done (by wheel art) they back them for like 7 years and it doesn't do a thing to your paint. i'm sorry but whever your heard your info, you are wrong

I thought I saw a carbon fiber trunk insert on Ebay about a month ago that got rid of the scion logo, sound familiar to any one? If I remember right it went for around $50 (If I see another one I'm deffinately gonna get it).
