So, Im looking into the air intake, but what other moderately prices upgrades are out there for the 1st gen xB? Ive been reading about a chip. How hard is this to put in and where? Do I need the computer re-flashed?

Mine is bone stock and a few extra ponies would be good

Thanks in advance

intake, header, and exhaust. those are the basics. if you want more, lightened pulleys, clutch, flywheel, turbo or S/C. as far as i know, chipping is pretty useless, if you really really want to squeeze out alittle more power via electronics, a good tune on a respectable engine management system will work.

do the first combo and see where that puts you.

i/h/e is defiently a good start. I hear our boxes respond well to a lightened crank pulley.

if your looking for the sleeper look. just do the intake plugs and light weight crank pully. the muffler only adds attention.i changed my hole exhaust from the cat back with 2.25 inch pipe and a strup muffler and seen minimal gains if any. just my .02

Cool thanks for the input guys. I have a axle back muffler right now that it pretty good sounding...but thats about it. Im looking at a Weapon R cold air intake at the moment (since we get that 30%). Hopefully get it with some B-day money coming up :D

I think my next step after that is a header and the rest of the exhaust. THanks again!

I had the fujita F5 CAI and I noticed quite a bit of difference. But I didn't like how it fit in the engine, so I traded it for a fujita short ram with a friend of mine. I have noticed a slight difference in power, but nothing major. She still likes to get up and go, LOL.

My next upgrade is going to be a header and exhaust. I have the TRD exhaust now, but I want duel pipes going out the rear with double tips on each. I am trying to save money for the strup header and exhaust. Hopefully I can get it soon.
