rear/ front seat console

Ive decided to go ahead and start mocking up the center console for the rear and front seats. its going to act as a arm rest fot the front seats and go backward to the rear seats (buckets) as a arm rest for that as well. i have one piece mocked up, after i get the 2nd mocked up, ill post a few pics up of the progress. Its going to be built from MDF wood and a light ply that i can bend around the contures. Then cover it in a black leather to match the front seats, or black suede. look for pics tonight or marrow!!

took a little longer than i wanted, been busy, so took a few hrs to mock up what the design is to be. This is the basic shape with the bulk heads.....then fiberglass/ and super thin ply wood for the skin. will look sweet. got a little work to do on the front are rest area, its to high.

couldnt help myself!!! Went back out and did a little more work. After messign around, sat it in the car to see how it sit. Decided that a 5" monitor will fit perfect. As for a top and under the padded area, im going to use plexi glass with red leds in it as a flow line, and put black plexi over that when padding isnt.

ive thought about putting cup holders in it, still trying to decide on that.

Front armrest is in place. I need to shave the sides a bit on it so that the seats can be moved forward for shorter drivers.....my wife.

the othr side is fleeced up, but still need to apply the resin. I need to get red LEDs before going any further....so i guess im stalled a week or so till get them ordered and they come in.

I ordered some cold cathodes for the red lighting, theyll be in in a few weeks. I went ahead and fleeced the rest of the frame, looks pretty good. itll dry over night, then ill trim off tome of the extra material, sand some area smooth. I need to make the cup holders yet. Ill post some pics marrow!!!

Welll.... i went ot pull a screw driver out of my tool box, my head smacked the front armrest and the sucker flew off of my tool box and broke the rear arm rest right off. after i was done cussing and seeing if i split my head open, it felt like it, I went on and fixed it. Still upsets me to pull off a dumbass attack!!

ok, after a really long week, big car issues, so we had to stop work, the wifey is having health issues, still no worky. The car issue, taken car of, the wifey is still having issues, but is asleep, i decided to do some work, oh, and the rear armrest, its never coming off again!!
