Hey guys...

Might have missed it somewhere, but is an HID flicker normal? If not, do you know the source of the problem and how I could fix it?

Thanks...

Yup ... HID flickers are caused by the transformer not recieving enough power to get them on. In some cases, like the ones where vehicles have DTRL you need to get a different harness to bypass that mode or a relay kit to juice the transformers to the voltage they require to fire ...

I haven't had a problem with flicker on my tC. Though a Dodge Ram install I did, it came with an anti flicker connectors and even that didn't work, so I tried a relay kit and that worked perfect. Hidextra.com sells relay kits for 15$ and that includes shipping.

Hey Andrew, I see that your HIDs still flick'n. That sucks, dude. You just got them...right? Before you buy anything...whats up with the warranty? Make them hold-up thier product first. If that dont go well, then up grade your kit. And then, tell them to put thier product up where the sun dont shine.

I already had a nice chat with the guy, I think he'll be taking care of me. Told him its pretty simple. I've got a few people that want to order HID kits and they're relying on me to order them and install, and I'll gladly go somewhere else for the same price

Dat-A-Boy! You damn right! Like I said, make them hold thier product first.
If they want your business, they'll take care of you.

I had one flicker once, but then the ballast went out. So, my thought is that the ballast is going out.

not meaning to thread jack or anything but it is sort-of similar. One of my ballast went out on a set of my angel eyes from oznium. they dont carry them anymore and cant help me. What can I replace it with or how would I get it fixed?
