ok so...first things first... i dont know much about cars so im gonna give a very basic mans understanding here...

about 4 months ago i pushed my clutch pedal in and heard a loud squeak...took it to toyota and they lubed *insert some part in the linkage here* and it didnt squeak again until 2 weeks ago...

3 weeks ago it squeaks again...took it back to toyota and they lubed...something else. worked for a few days then had to take it back again. rinse and repeat 5 seperate times in the past 3 weeks until the last time they did it a week ago. they gave me a loaner and took the whole thing apart from clutch pedal to transmission, cleaned it all, lubed it all, measured some clearances or something...yada yada...

that all worked fine till today when it started squeaking again...

i know this is kinda a stupid gripe, seein as its just a squeak, but i really love my tC and hate stuff bein wrong with it...i like it to look and sound great...and the squeak aint helping...

anybody else having this problem, or had this problem, or know someone who has/had...and what you/they did to fix it, or what toyota did?

any help would be appreciated...any at all...thanks in advance!

I have recently had my linkage starting to squeak as well, but I haven't taken it in yet. I don't think my clutch pedal squeaks that I've noticed, but I will keep an eye on this thread and an ear to my clutch.

i just got home from toyota...they said it was a 'fork in the linkage' and that it falls under warranty so they ordered a new one...ill update when it gets replaced wether or not it works :/

I've had my tC for about a year and a half. I have noticed a squeak from the clutch when I depress it from time to time, usually right after I start the car up. Once I start driving it goes away. I never actually thought to take the car to Toyota. Maybe next time I'm in for a service or something I'll ask them about it. Good luck.
