led license plate lights

Are you talking about changing your bulbs to leds or adding in additional led lights to your existing lights. If you are changing out your bulbs to colored leds, they are highly illegal. One of my other cars, I did and almost got a ticket for having them. But if you run stand alone leds on a switch for show use only, you should be good.

I have the super white ones in the factory spot and then wired in some blue ones in the space where the handle it

Im running super white leds in my box. There an easy install just need a set of shallow 194 led bulbs. The longer ones with more than one led dont fit that well.
