Removing shift knob?

Can somebody tell me how to remove the shift knob on the 5 sp tC.
I have another one in mind but it has the OBX now and I dont like the feel of it.
I don't want to mess it up cause a bud of mine wants it.

Turn it counter clockwise until it comes off.

Yea, you just turn it. I switch shift knobs every couple of months or so. haha

i thought that may be how it came off, it looks like all the after market short shifters were treaded. so thanks guys
