so on the way home from the meet last night my airbag light came on... any ideas to turn it off aside from going to a dealer and getting charged for a "diagnostics test". the car was in a small accident last summer, crunched the driver side front bumper right below the light. I'm hoping it's just a bad censor?? any help would be greatly appreciated

Wait, you had the incident almost a year ago and now it is just coming on. Have you bumped into anything recently in the same spot. Plus is it just the air bag light or is there other lights on too? Plus is it staying on or is it flashing? You are talking about the SRS light right. It could be something simple fix wise or since it came on nearly a year later, it could be the SRS computer. Which is expensive to replace.

I will keep looking for a solution.

correction - my SISTER had the incident over a year ago (shes and idiot and stole it) and i haven't bumped into anything, unless someone bumped it while it was parked...*bastards*. and the light isn't flashing, its just on, no other lights on. it just came on randomly... i really hope its not the computer, that would blow... maybe just disconnecting the battery and letting everything relearn itself?

Disconnecting the battery from what I have seen won't work. It will just come back on. Until you figure out what it is, it will stay on. Have you recently taken the seats out or front seat belts off? Since normally the light would have come on with the incident. Since it is happening nearly a year later it has to be something else.
