View Full Version : Getting the maintenace required light to go off?

you know when you need an oil change the maintenance required light comes on? well, i had my oil changed by someone other than the dealer and they couldn't get the light to go off.... any idea how to turn it off? :oops:

guess there isn't a particular page... i've looked all over that damn thing, and have found nothing!

It is in your owners manual, page 99 to be exact but heres the process so you don't have to look for it and yes I checked it and it does work.

1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position with the trip meter A reading shown.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset knob.

Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The light goes off and the display shows zero for 1 second and changes to the odometer reading.

Thats straight from the manual...
