Scion xA 4WD: myth or reality?

Not taking into concideration Toyota Ist 4WD, does Scion xA 4WD exist?

if you really want to do it then you'd have to get all the ist parts shipped over and do a total swap. i thought about doing it but blah!!! not worth it!!

I don't believe so. I think versions of the bB were the only ones to come with an AWD option. I have never heard of anyone with an AWD xA or IST.

if you want an AWD xA, look for a matrix with AWD... not the same thing, but just about as close as you will get

yes Toyota makes the 1.5L IST with the AWD package... but you can not get the AWD on a xA. yes its the same car but in reality since i had asked these question too its a HUGE conversion. ask cyclone_burst in the dfw chapter about it cz he looked it up forever before finding out he couldn't without major conversions

ok here is the thing....the ist came in a few flavors a 1.3L front wheel drive or the 1.5L AWD which is said to have a "sportier" feel to it...but yea there would be alot of modification to the US spec xA....mostly to support the rear differential and to the front due to the need of changing the transaxle assembly to support the transfer case for the rear wheels....but it would be awesome to have one :)
