Hello Everyone,

My name is Branden {A.K.A. killakeola} and I own and currently tuning an ALL MOTOR 2008 Scion tC.

A lot of people ask why I would do this when going to a boosted setup is so very much cheaper. Well, the answer is really very simple. I want to show that with some actual work done to the motor the 2az-fe can see 200+ whp. Most people do bolt ons and nothing else. There is alot more that can be done. The over all question though is, how much do you want to spend to go faster?

There is no doubt that an all motor build is by FAR the most expensive and time consuming {not to mention headache causing} path to pursue in the 4cyl world.
In the Scion world and more to the point in the tC world there has only been 2 attempt at a real deal N/A build.I have followed in the footsteps of these N/A pioneers.
The goal of this build is to break 250whp All Motor using off the shelf parts as well as custom or modified parts. N/A takes a LOT of money to be done correctly, and a LOT of time. This build will be an on-going project.
Updates will be made asap

Im no gear head, but I think the best header is DC Sports.. AFAIK, its the only 4-1 aftermarket header, PLEASE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG gear heads... lol..

I hope you break the 220whp mark!!!

The Dc sport is a 4-1 header, but its not the best out there. The best to date header is the weapon R(4-2-1) and Alphawerks(discontinued 4-1)

Heres a link: http://scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34550

Im planning on getting the weapon R till I can custom make one for my new engine next year.

here is a good company to get valves from. I believe world racing uses them on that fwinged monster of there.

edit*

what do you plan on doing to the engine as a example stroker kit, or i have heard of people wanting to raise the red line on the engine to rev alot higher than our current stock one does. I am curious i cant afford to do it myself so i like to listen to others

^^^^ As far as stroking the motor im actually destroking the motor. Im going to swap in a 1az-fe bottom end. The reason why im going with this block is because it will rev quicker and higher than the 2az-fe will. This motor share the same bore and stroke as a honda k20 and a nissan sr20 which both motors N/A have seen well over 200whp. I will sacrafice the the 10hp that the 2az makes over the 1az for more hp on the top end where everyone know thats where all the hp is made.Im looking for a 9k redline produce hp up to 8500 rpm.
I have done my researh and have found out that these motors (2az and 1az) share the same parts. such as oil pump, alternator, chain tensioner. The list goes on. Im hoping to do this build next year but for now im just focusing on building my head for the 2az block. This should be done over the winter.
