Blacking out the front Scion badge

So I'm looking at blacking out my front scion badge... The grille I ordered didnt fit so I'm just going to black out the badge... Im thinking about using nightshade cause I have seen that it turns out well on our badging, my main reason for this post is to figure out if my badge is held on by double sided tape or just popped in... Or is it just easier to take the grille out and tape it off and spray it... any little comment will help... thanks...

man i know for a fact the xB emblems are pin and double sided tape on the xB2. Put grills in them alot when i worked for toyota. Pretty sure the tc should be the same havent really looked at mine to see.

yes, its double sided tape. i took out the emblem on my old grill and painted it black.

It's double sided tape. Just get an exacto and cut around the edges to release it from the grill.

Not trying to thread jack, but is it the same for the rear emblem in the hatch handle/trunk garnish? I know there are two little pins that make sure the emblem is level. I want to paint my rear one red like TG7a did.
