Ive recently installed the AFE dry intake on my 2010 XD. This thing looks great, sounds good but was a pain to put in. The fit was very tight but completly dooable. Construction was one piece. Intake tube and heat shield was one piece. Only mounting issues that were incountered were that the rear of the heat shiels secured to the front battery hold down screw leaving very little room to move the battery holddown hook into position. Other than that, the unit is of very good quality. I recomend this intake. Cost for the intake for a XD was $180 shipped.

very easy to install. NO TOOLS REQUIRED.. just pull off stock housing, unplug the light. plug new light in and snap the housing into place. that's it.. :up:

I found a diy mod for cabin air filters.. I'm gonna make one for my B in the next 2 days.. I would like to get a xB1, tC, xD... and even an xA.. and make one for them as well.. the more the merrier.. :up: my goal s to make one for each model so I can start selling them. :) anyone wann help out?? you'll get a free cabin air filter out of the deal.. :)

I was reading and people have said if you get the charcoal filters it will filter out bad smells from the outside :) You should get about 4 filters with 1 big filter! Also I think they said to put the wire-side of the filter face DOWN for better air flow. Read through the many posts on the xB - they show several alternatives other than buying a furnace-type filter!

Tomorrow I am making two sets of speaker baffles (4 total) for four 6 1/2" 2-way speakers using MDF :) Two speakers for the front doors, and 2 speakers for the rear quarterpanel stock speaker locations. The rear speakers are 5 1/4" stock, but am replacing them with 6 1/2" :)

nice!!!! make sure to wear some vinyl gloves when installing the lights. that way you don't accidentally touch the glass with your fingers..

You know it bro, Just need to do a little research first. PLUS......PLUS...... I just installed my Strup exhaust system, aND it kills major ass. Sounds and looks sweet and as soon as I figure out how to post pics in a DIY then youll see the whole thing together. Real easy job.

Yeah dude, it even has 3 pre amp out. So that means 1 for the front, 1 for the rear, and 1 for a sub. Seriously, it took me like 20 min to put it in. And, it sounds great. You can tune it for your xB by the push of a button.

I think you have seen the new one bro. Not to sure if youve actually seen it in action though. It sounds sweet. Esecially now that Ive replaced all the factory speakers with kickers all the way around. Still waiting to build my back deck speaker/amp rack though. Cant wait.

Alot better than the stock sound I was getting. The only problems I encountered along the way was trying to figure out were the hell to run all the wires. THey didnt give me that much room in that car.

If it's nice tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) I will be installing my NST aluminum shifter bushings. they should tighten up the shifting a bit.. From what I hear people love them. We will see... and as always, I will be doing a DIY on the install. I'll post up the link when it's done. got my fingers crossed for a no rain day.

I just checked on the status of my clazzio covers... guess there was no APT# on the package.. right now it is in Central point at the FedEx hub.... I called and corrected the address. HOPEFULLY in time to catch it before it gets sent back to the sender. I've been waiting 14 weeks for these to be made and shipped from Japan. they are SO close I can smell the newness.... BUT cause of one small mistake I might not get them for another week or two. GRRR.... I cannot go to the FedEx hub and pick them up either.. WTF?!?!?!?!

ANYWAYS........ other than that.... I panited my rear hatch emblem black and the "B" from the xB. just wait till you see what I'm gonna do with it.

AND. I got my HPI Switch (RC xB2 ) in the mail yesterday. WOOHOO!!! it is electric and wicked fast!! got some plans for that too.

So this past week Cam and I went to a show out in Merlin, I noticed he did his front bumper "Mustache" in black, upon futher inspection noticed it wasn't paint OR vinyl... it was Plasti-dip spray.. yes spray on plastic. it has a rubber texture. It looks REALLY good.. so.... after the show we went to Loews and bought a few cans and came back to my place and we sprayed on a "BRA" on my hood and I did the headlights. I really like it, PLUS, here's the kicker, if I decide I don't like it? I just peel it right of. how cool is that....

Andrew mentioned a possible tech day in the other thread. I have a couple friends that want to know how to do more to their cars and would like to help, watch or just chill. I have a few things waiting to be installed. Got some rotors and pads for my fronts and a catback exhaust coming this tuesday. My two friends have an E36 and an 80's Camero/rustbucket and they're looking for ideas.
