well me personnally, im gonna see what i can frankenstien out of the stock sub box that tucks into the corner.
im putting a 10" kicker sub i got for like free thats only like 125/250max in there right at the moment. and i have some kicker resolution components (100w rms) that i will replace the stockers with.
the components are gonna be powered by a Kenwood 7202 2channel and the sub is gonna be powered by a bridged Kenwood KAC-6202.
and when i got my tC i got an extra cargo mat with it. so I am gonna take a piece of wood and size it so both amps can be mounted on top of it, and then mount the amps through the cargo matt onto the wood
like so:
floor-->cargo mattt-->wood-->cargo mat-->amps
i hope it works like i plan it to.
all working off the stock HU! :P

I havent put a lot of thought into my sound system, still rocking out fully stock, not even the factory sub :bash:
however, what I've come up with ... something like the trunk floor designs from quarterwavedesigns. debating between this Rockford Fosgate 12in sub I found on the side of the rode :c8l: or a couple the EU-700s everyone's talkin about on scionlife these days.
also saw an idea that really creative guy made to get a sub in the side panels. Im kinda diggin that since the eu700s are pretty low watage anyways.
I'd like to keep it all hidden as much as possible, and I'm not a big fan of vibrating the cars around me. I've been broken into before, it sucks :(

I got the Infinity 10" Basslink. Nice tight bass without the vibration on the outside and takes up no space at all. I'll post a pic soon.

I kept it simple (STUPID!):
2x Volfenhag 10's

With a Volfenhag amp, stealth installed under the floor cover:

And a Kenwood Excelon DDX8017 Touchscreen DVD Head Unit:

You guys have any ideas of what we could do to the trunk of my car? I'm looking for something clean and simple. 12" Alpine Type R, MRD-605, are what i plan on using.

I'm sure if you brought it by we could brainstorm something fairly quick.
we'll be in the garage again starting in about an hour and will probably be there unti late.
Shouldn't you be in school?........lol.

My subs and amp only ran me $400.
Head unit was expensive ($1k) but I got it off of a friend.. (Would have been $1600). There are others out there... or just stay with stock and get a preout harness.

my entire system i described was hardly $400 out of my pocket
if i paid full price for the speakers i got them alone would be up around te $500.
i got my sub amp for cheap off cardomain!
i found the same amp for like $80 off some random website I didn't feel comfortable with buying it off of them, so i sent the link to cardomain's pricematch whateverness and they let me have the same amp for the price on the random website!
and the rest was bought from a friend who had it in his tC.

Here's what I have at the moment. 2 12" Kicker CVR with a bandpass box. Fits perfectly behind the rear seats and under that little cover there. I close the trunk, and you can't even tell I have something back there. Love it!

Here is the other side of the box, when the seats are folded down. A Kicker amp for the bass, a Memphis Crossover to divide the bass, mids, and highs to the right places and make it sound clear, a JL Audio amp for the mids and highs. I have a capacitor as well, but haven't put it on yet.

I'll have pictures of the front later. Got a multi-use screens for the front also, a video camera in the back, and a rear view mirror that has a screen on it as well.
Oh, I have the major hook-ups on any video and audio for your cars. Just let me know!!

thats a jl audio 10w1v2 in a custom made quarterwavedesigns box, with a jl e1200 monoblock amp for the sub. and a jl e4300 4 channel for the speakers which are still to come. and i do have my spare in there too. i have a grill for the sub and i will be making a plexiglass cover for the amps as well so i still have all of that trunk space. the only drawback was that the new floor is about 2 inches higher then the stock floor.

Looks kinda like Ed's old system. His sub was in the floor too... but in the center.
His new system, though... wow.
