Hey has anyone installed their body kit themselves on the tc? If so was it hard to do or fairly easy? Any info would help thanks

depends on if it's fiberglass or urethane/abs plastic...and if it's a full body kit, lip kit, or widebody kit.

a regular body kit isn't that difficult to install - it's time consuming, but not hard to do. probably an afternoon

a widebody kit will take a weekend, and requires bondo and paint touch-up. definitely the most difficult install.

a lip kit usually snaps on over the stockers and just uses existing screws to hold it in place - pretty dang easy.

if it's fiberglass, you'll probably have to do quite a bit of trimming for a clean look. Usually urethane and ABS plastic body kits don't require as much trimming and install cleanly out of the box - they also last longer and stand up to abuse better.

and if you have to ask usually its better to let the pros do it.... especially on a nice car like your tc.... if you hade an old car like a 240 or a civic or something cheap to replace i would say go ahead and try it your self.... .but honestly you will be happier with a pro install.... and i would go with either a urethane or abs only....

if its any of the kits that toyota/scion have then they come with handy dandy instructions. the RS3 kenstyle lip even does.
