the nicest thing about the tax returns this year is that bush is trying to stimulate the economy so we will most likely all get 400-600 dollar check just because we paid taxes..... and not to mention govonor chet culver is doin the same thing in iowa.... newly weds... are getting a 1200 return to stimulate the economy... and for being married you get 600 to stimulate the economy 400 per child.... i dont have kids yet but shit bush made a good call depends on who you ask.... but us modders are excited.... if i count correctly that means i will get 3000-3200 just because the prez and our great iowa govna wants us to spend money... and spend it i will.... my wife gave me auth to use it all.... so i order a carbon fiber headliner... carbon fiber a pillars and sent my custom b and c pillars to be wrapped by the same company....and i also purchased an obsidian widebody kit for the whip as well.... hopefully the car will be done this year.....im excited

it's $600 if you're single and make less than $75000 a year

$1200 if you're married and make less than $150000/year combined

and $300 for each kid that you claim.

And it's one check from the federal govt - it's not repeated by any state governments, so don't expect twice as much. They're giving away a set amount of money (somewhere in the billions) by following the guidelines above until all the money is issued - so some people who make more than $75000 or $150000 will still get a check...you're just not guaranteed one after that income cutoff. And they're not even issuing checks until the end of June 2008. That's all I've heard so far - some sources vary, but most of them agree on the numbers above.

but either way, im getting all my body work painted and installed.

Seriously, don't look at that as a bad thing. In the end, it's money you owe, so paying off bills is a good thing. You want to have more assets than debt... that is how you get ahead in life.

With my tax return I'm either getting either JIC Magic FLT-TARs, Zeal Function-X coilovers, or Tein SS-P w/EDFC. Not sure which one to get though.

yea i hear ya dude on the bills thing but i was saying it as a bad thing cause all i need is about 600 bucks and my car will be up to par to where i want it to be till i can think of anything else which i know i will and instead of finishing it i have to pay bills and yes being out of debt is good news too. but i think i will buy myself something with the money not something big but something i need ya know. prob get the fabric to do my headliner and doors or finish up some performance mods. idk depends on how much money i get back too.

ok first off weve talked about this in my business class alot but one this that was never clear is does everyone who files taxes get it? or do you got to be a certain age im 19 will i qualify. The purpose of the stimulus bill was the try to stop the country from going into a resicion (sp.?) (which were are kinda of already in) the purpose is not to save believe it not they want people to buy stuff to get more money into the economy....ex. you by something from oznium...oznium makes more money owner of oznium has more money he can go buy something for himself and so on and so forth...so what does this mean....buy as many mods as you can lol get that money circulating into the economy and you can just tell people that say your wasting money like my parents that your just trying to save our economy... have fun with your money ill be interested to see what everyone gets!

Well, if you're over 18 then you should file. Sometimes people end up owing money, but it depends what you claim on your w-2 (or is it w-4?) Anyway, I always put in 0 which means I'm not claiming anyone as a dependent, not even myself. By doing so, a little more of my pay is withheld for taxes but I'm more likely to get a return come tax time. I also put an extra $10 every pay towards taxes. I kind of look at it like a spring spending account. Also, you are right about what the gov. is doing by giving everyone an extra $600. The stock market is crap right now and they're trying to change that. Hope this clears some things up for you.

cool, i hope i like it too, if not, ill weld another resonator in it.

if you have a choice, you should go for the s-pipe first, everyone tells me thats the most restrictive part of the exhaust besides the header/cat.

A 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo for me, that $600 is goin in with my other return of $250 and my $3000 in toy savings to get me a go car to complement the show car.
