yes TRD that has been MODDED ;) the muffler is TRD & a muffler shop did the rest of the work ;) i was running a S-pipe/down pipe on it as well but i took it off & sold it for some lame reason but i will once more add that s-pipe/down pipe back on my exhaust system ;) :pilot:

sounds much better than the one I installed on my 06...
and I got the turbo and my car doesn't accelerate like that anymore - you can't really tell I have VVT-i anymore...I really need a tune. lol I miss that "haul ass" feeling at 3500rpms.

you inspired me to go for a drive last night - i love my car! lol
I was looking for the VVT-i break in my powerband, and it's gone - it's been completely replaced with boost acceleration lol. Which I guess is a fair trade, but I still miss that "Stock" feeling.

great videos of you dc headers 4 into 1
something i want to add my list, looking into another exhaust.
how much do those headers run you??

Watch out for a cel in the future -- its the O2 on the s-pipe that usually throws the code.

yeah - the idea is to pull the s-pipe o2 sensor away from the exhaust so it picks up "cleaner" exhaust, making it think the cat on the head is still in place, doing it's job.
your CEL will come on down the road...takes the ECU about 50 miles...or 3 startups to throw a CEL from a system change.

is there a way to get the CEL off ? it came on last night from the header ... what can i do to keep it off ? once i was able to hit 35mile or was it 45 miles the CEL was so is there a fix for this ?

Well first of all you can start by taking off the anti-foulers from sensor 1 and putting it on sensor 2.
Sensor 1 DOES NOT THROW A CEL. Sensor 1 simply determines how much oxygen is in your exhaust and adjusts the amount of fuel sprayed into your engine. This is why it is before any cat on any car. By putting the anti-fouler on it you are tricking your computer into thinking that your engine is running rich. This can harm your engine since your car will lean out the afr.
Sensor 2 DOES NOT AFFECT your afr or any part of the fuel management system. The only way it could affect your fuel management system is if the computer detects an inefficiency of the cat and the car has a "limp mode" programmed into it for such cases. I'm not sure if the tc has this feature.
In other words, the anti-fouler goes on the s-pipe, not the header.
PS: Theres no such thing as a "FULL axel-back exhaust." I mean what would be a "partial axel-back exhaust?"

ok how would u remove the anti foulers? and put them on the s pipe. would u just swap sensors or is it not that easy?

The things circled in red are the anti-foulers. They were originally made to help stop spark plugs from fouling. But someone came up with the idea of screwing the O2 sensor in them so that the sensor detects less oxygen making the ecu think the cat is working properly.
Remove the things circled in red form the header. Screw the O2 sensor back into the hole in the header. Unscrew the O2 sensor from the S-pipe. Screw the anti-foulers into teh hole in the s-pipe. Screw the s-pipe O2 sensor back into the anti foulers. No need to swap sensors, just gotta move the anti-foulers.

by removing the anti off of the header & putting it on the spipe would not make the CEL come on ? i will give this a try thx for the info ;) i will let you all know what happens next ;)

From what i hear, soemtimes it does sometimes it doesn't on our cars. I've heard 100% success on my old toyota forum and have had success with it myself on my old car when i cut off the cat.
But anyways, this is where the antifoulers are SUPPOSED to go. Not on the header itself. I dont know who got the idea that its supposed to go on there.

the mod is actually made of 2 anti-foulers screwed into each other, and one of them is drilled out - the anti-foulers are too shallow for the o2 sensor, so that's why you need 2 - total cost is like $8.
And yeah - we have an open loop 02 system - meaning the two o2 sensors don't work together - they each have their own purpose. I serviced my tC and unplugged sensor 1, and forgot to plug it back in. Car ran fine - no afr issues or anything - of course, if you run an o2 sensor in the exhaust without it plugged it, it destroys the o2 sensor. So it gave me a nice place to mount my wideband lol.

i just swapped out the anti from the header and installed it into the spipe & rest the ECU and i was able to drive 40miles with out the CEL to come on so far... so i hope this is what was needed to be done... also my car is freaking way loud vrooom vroom ;)
wish me luck because the next time the CEL comes on i think i will just put the stock header back on and sell it to a local person for a damn good price ;) maybe the person that buys the header from me will have better luck it is more of a hit or miss type of a MOD i think... & so far i have some what of good luck i would love for this to work out on my tC

So the foulers keep the check engine light from coming on?? Correct? And explain how to do this again because i am waitin on the megan drift spec cat back exhaust and the megan downpipe to get in and i already have the dc sports header! i am just waitin on the exhaust and i will install all at the same time. But i just need more description.
So what i need to know is --
Do the foulers keep the check engine light from comin on?
AND
What exactly do you have to do wit the fouler to prevent that from happening? i was reading some of your entries but just didnt understand it ..lol

THE ANifouler just brings the second o2 sensor out of the stream a inch or so making the computer think there is a catalytic converter between the two.

correct. but also the little hole in the one you're not supposed to drill out limits the flow to the sensor even more.
http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=229959
That has a picture of them.
You need to drill one of the antifoulers out with a 1/2inch drill bit, make sure the sensor fits through the hole. Screw the two anti-foulers together, the one witht he hole goes on top. Screw the two antifoulers into the O2 bung on the s-pipe(downpipe). Screw the O2 sensor into the anti-foulers. Thats all. If you don't get these instructions you shouldn't be working on a car.
There may be some clearance issues. If thats the case, buy one of those 90 degree bent ones from someone on here or on SL.
