So here is a big question to the people who know this ...
How much is involved in installing a TRD Limited Slip Differential,
And How much is involved in installing a Clutch ?
i ask because i want to install these things on my tc, however this is my daily driver car, i wanna what can be done over a weekend and what cannot ?
and also what needs to be taken out ..

the LSD requires disassembling the transmission - if you don't know how a transmission works, don't even TRY to do that yourself.
the clutch is easier - you just gotta pull the tranny off, slip the old clutch/pressure plate out, put the new one in, line it up, and bolt the tranny back up. Of course, it's not THAT easy - getting the tranny off can be a process, but it can be done in a weekend if you're brazen enough to start it.
most shops charge $350-$450 for the labor to install it. Not all shops will install a clutch unless you buy it through them though, and 90% of those shops don't offer staged clutches...so you just gotta find the right shop.
Good luck - I'm dealing with the clutch thing right now too.

Quick question, can the TRD LSD be installed in an auto 4-speed?

I'm still debating on an lsd for my car.. i guess its just a matter of WHEN..lol. my motor is out of the car, and all be damed if everything goes back in w/out a lsd installed!
i'm going to have a shop install the lsd for me, bc the inside of the tranny is not my cup of tea!
the clutch however... man.. getting the tranny out is a beotch!!! no lie! depending on what the dealer or othershops that KNOW the tc, i would consider having them do it. I have other cars to drive, so i really didn't care about the time it took. i wouldn't take my car that doesn't kow the tc tho... its nothing like a honda!

I'm pretty sure the auto and 5spd use the same differential, so in theory the LSD would work on both transmissions.
The differential is a seperate part of the transmission, so it wouldn't make much sense for toyota to develop a whole new differential, when the two work the same.

No, it's different. The TRD LSD is Manual Only.
TRD Sparks sells it that way:
